Happy Birthday! Part 2

Issac turned TWO on the 4th!!! I cant believe it! Where did the time go? Not to mention in just the last little bit he's grown up so much.

We were in Seattle for Issac's Birthday this year so threw him a party there instead of waiting until we got home. We actually celebrated on the 3rd since on the 4th my nephew Austin had the chance to be baptized and we had a party for him. I dont think Issac minded one bit, both days he had a blast!

For his birthday Grandma & Papa treated all the cousins to the Woodland Park Zoo after school got out. The kids had a blast running around the zoo and checking out the animals. I think Issac was pretty amazed at all the BIG animals.

After the Zoo we headed back to my parents house and had a party! We did a BBQ for dinner, an ice cream cake for dessert, pinata for entertainment & of course presents! Definitely a good time with the fam!

Issac really loved opening his presents - although he got upset when we'd try to move onto the next one. He wanted to play with each one for awhile. After we convinced him to open the next one his excitement started all over again, ANOTHER toy?! He got some pretty cool toys from everyone and he's still loving them at home! Thanks everyone! We're also using his birthday money to enroll him in Kindermusik, which starts next week! I bet he'll love it!

Issac has changed so much lately, its kind of scary. He definitely mimics a lot more, catches onto things a lot quicker, throws some wonderful tantrums, but has the sweetest personality. What Mom or Dad wouldnt love to snuggle every morning and get tons of kisses all day long? He's such a happy kid and so curious about everything. Not to mention independant, forget trying to help him out! He'll do it alone thanks!

He also has quite the appetite, everyone says they cant believe how good of an eater he is; and just like his Momma, he loves spicey food! Some of his favorites are taco soup, bananas, apples, grapes, yogurt, cheesy chicken 'n rice, mac 'n cheese, ketchup (or anything to dip), milk, a sip of soda pop, candy, anything he can drink out of a cup without help, strawberry jam (forget the toast) and many more!

Issac had his 2 year well check yesterday and he weighs in at a light 23lbs, and is a hare over 33" tall. Still our little guy but we love him like crazy! He's grown 3" in the last 6 months so he's definitely sprouting up!

The last 2 years have been priceless, I love being a Mom to this sweet boy and his Dad feels the same. We're so proud to call Issac our son! He's such a great kid!

Here are some photos from the day! Enjoy!

{Woodland Park Zoo}

{Birthday dinner - Watermelon, hot dogs & pasta salad!}

{Birthday Cake - Mom wasnt feeling it this year to make a fancy one, and his favorite treat is ice cream anyways, sooo it worked well.}

{Its Lightening McQueen!}

{"Happy Birthday to you" - OMG get me away from here, why are they singing? I HATE this song}

{He really did blow out his own candles, and no spit}
{reactions were the best}

{pinata - an action shot. pretty much impossible to get a decent shot of a child swinging a bat, and a pinata flying around, but he had fun!}

Happy Birthday my boy! Love you!

Fun day! Issac's wide open mouth when he's opening gifts is so cute. Love the excitement!
