Dumb dog! Or maybe a smart dog?

Well do we have the story for you! It probably would be better told by Donavon since he was the one to experience the fiasco, and I was at work but I'll give'r a shot.


Donavon came home from PT (I had already left for work). He was getting dressed in his nice Class A uniform for the Army's 233rd Birthday, there was a luncheon put on today and he was presenting the colors and had to look extra sharp. While Donavon is upstairs getting pretty Diesel is out in the backyard - no problem he loves being outside. Except for the fact some how, he managed to turn on the sprinklers! We have a sprinkling system in our backyard along w/ a spout for a hose or something. The spout, where the sprinklers connect as well leaks. So however he managed to turn it on - it leaked and created a lovely mud puddle. FUN TIMES!

Diesel heard 'Daddy' in the house and came running in through his doggie door tracking in MUD all through the dining room, kitchen, family room and 1/2 way up the stairs. Yes, MUD. We have lovely brown dog prints all over the floor, and the nice white carpet. Donavon was in such a hurry and in his nice Class A uniform that he just threw Diesel in the laundry room to deal w/ later. (until i got home of course, because its my dumb dog today).


We havent the slightest idea HOW he managed to turn the water on, but he did, and he had a heck of a time playing in the water. Oh and mud all over him naturally, but we just gave him his flea and tick dose last night so no bathing for 2 days..... Niiiiiiiiiiiice....


Stupid dumb dog, or smart dog.... He definitely LOVES the sprinklers though... here is a picture of him as a pup after playing in the sprinklers. He will turn 1 year old on Sunday - is this the beginning of the terrible two's???
